KATHMANDU

Kathmandu is the largest city and capital of Nepal and the namesake of the Kathmandu Valley. Once thought to be the fabled and inaccessible Shangri-La, Kathmandu is now a hub for independent travellers as well as a growing vacation spot catering to all budgets. As a result of considerable urban growth in recent decades, it is now part of one continuous urban area together with Patan to the south and Bhaktapur to the east. You will enjoy clear, blue sky and white mountains from any famous sites, of which it has many: a whopping seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites within few miles!

NAGARKOT

Nagarkot is 32 km NE of Kathmandu on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu Valley. Nagarkot is famous for its Himalayan views- the Himalayan peaks at sunrise are a magnificent sight to behold. Many wish upon arrival they would have planned for more than one day to stay. Nagarkot is surrounded by thickly forested hills of pine trees which give you an idyllic scene. It is a rustic resort high on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu valley. It is an outstanding hilltop that offers great views of Himalayas, breathtaking mountain scenery and the most impressive views of sunrise and sunset.

POKHARA

Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake. On the eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centers and restaurants. In the city’s south, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.

SARANGKOT

Sarangkot is in the ward 18 of Pokhara Municipality, Kaski District. In 2015, it was annexed to Pokhara 26. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a total population of 5,060 with 1,010 individual households. The village is located on Sarangkot mountain at an altitude of 1600m and is renowned for its panoramic Himalayan views Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu as well as down on the city of Pokhara and Phewa lake. In recent years, Sarangkot has become a hotspot for paragliding.

CHITWAN

Chitwan National Park is a very popular tourist destination in Nepal. Visitors have the option to enter the park from the eastern town of Sauraha or the western village of Meghauli. Sauraha is the most popular entrance and is where most of the package tours go. The Royal Chitwan National Park is home to a very rich flora and fauna. The park is world renown for being one of the last refuges of the one horn rhino and home to other fascinating species like royal Bengal tigers, leopards, Asiatic elephants, wild boars, sloth bears, the endanger gharial crocodiles, monkeys, 5 types of deers and more than 600 species of birds.

JOMSOM

Jomsom is a village in the Annapurna mountains of Nepal. It is the capital of the Mustang district of the Dhawalagiri (Dhaulagiri) zone of Nepal.

The town is a popular starting/ending point for treks along the Kali Gandaki River valley as well as up to Muktinath on the Jomsom-Muktinath Trek. Both the treks can be done as part of the Annapurna Circuit. Jomsom beautiful small town situated at 2800 m at Kaligandaki River Valley and lap of Mt Dhaulagiri and mt nilgri.Tibetan culture and beautiful landscapes iots feature. Jomson has few attractions of its own but is a gateway for treks to Muktinath and Lo-Mantang as well as a common end point for treks from Manang. Jomson used to be the half way point on the Annapurna circuit but with the road construction it has now effectively become it's terminus.

MUSTANG TREKING ROUTE

Mustang (Nepal) (Mustang, or Kingdom of Lo; Mustang district) - a kingdom and district in the Himalaya. Mustang is one of the more preferred trekking destinations in Nepal behind the Himalayas. Mustang used to be the kingdom of its own. Later it was merged in Nepal at the reign of Kind Mahendra Bir Bikarma Sah Dev.

LANGTANG VALLEY

Langtang and Helambu regions is the second largest conserved National Park of Nepal enriched by 1000 species of flora and 150 different species of birds and many wild animals such as tigers, bears, deer, and wild sheep. From October to November and from April to May, days are warm and sunny, and nights cool. In winter from December to March, days are clear and mild but nights near freezing. This region is full of mountains: Langtang Lirung (7246m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangri (5846m) and Dorje Lakpa (6966m). The Gosainkunda lake (4300m)and the Dorje Lakpa range (6988m) bisect the park from east–west to south–east. The summit of Langtang Lirung (7245m) is the highest point in the park.

LUMBINI

Lumbini is the sacred site of the birth of Sakyamuni Buddha. It is located in southern Nepal, about an hour’s flight from Kathmandu. With a new international airport added, Gautam Buddha International Airport, Lumbini aspires to be a world famous destination for pilgrims and visitors. In the Buddha's time, Lumbini was a park situated in Kapilavastu Nepal. It was in Lumbini that the Buddha was born. A pillar now marks the spot of Asoka's visit to Lumbiní. According to an inscription on the pillar, it was placed there by the people then in charge of the park to commemorate Asoka's visit and gifts. The park was previously known as Rummindei, two miles north of Bhagavanpura. In the Sutta Nipáta (vs. 683) it is stated that the Buddha was born in a village of the Sákyans, in the Lumbineyya Janapada. The Buddha stayed in Lumbinívana during his visit to Devadaha and there preached the Devadaha Sutta.

GHANDRUK

Ghandruk is a popular place for treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal, with easy trails and various accommodation possibilities. From Ghandruk there are views to the mountains of Annapurna including Machapuchare. It is the second biggest village in Annapurna region. In the village it is only possible to get by on foot, due to the stairs that lead through the village. It is possible to get to and from Ghandruk by bus or jeep. Busses leave around 9 in the morning, and leave whenever they’re full. It costs about 600Rs per person, and takes about 6 hours. It’s a great way to start your hike, as it saves a lot of time.

ANNAPURNA TREKKING ROUTE

Annapurna Trekking Circuit has often been voted as the best long-distance trek in the world, as it combined, in its old full form, a wide variety of climate zones from tropics at 600 m asl to the arctic at 5416 m asl at the Thorong La pass and cultural variety from Hindu villages at the low foothills to the Tibetan culture of Manang Valley and lower Mustang. Continuing construction of a road has shortened the trail and changed the villages. The Beisahar-Manag road has been built which passes through the trekking trail most of the time. With construction of the road, mountain biking is becoming popular, with Mustang in particular becoming one of the world's most popular mountain biking destinations.

EVEREST BASE CAMP

Everest Base Camp was first used by the 1924 British Everest expedition. The site has a couple of permanent structures and a small army base. Clamber up the small hill festooned with prayer flags for great views of the star attraction, then have your photo taken at the base camp marker, which reads “Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp”. The Chinese indicates that it is 5200 meters above sea level. It is impossible to drive all the way to Everest Base Camp. All vehicles must stop at the tent camp a few kilometers past Rongpuk Monastery. From here passengers must trek or take a bus to finish the last 4 km. The way up is gentle and the altitude gain is less than 200 m. Along the way you pass scree slopes, jagging ridges, and broad glacier valleys flowing with muddy water. About 1 km uphill from the tent camp, on the left, is a Guru Rinpoche meditation cave. The resident monk will allow you into the cave and tiny chapel. The Everest Base Camp is a small flat piece of land in front of the north face of Mount Everest. It is at an altitude of 5200m and many people might experience difficulties with the high altitude. Located at the border between China and Nepal, Mt. Qomolangma, also known as the Mt. Everest, with its north slope belongs to China and the south one to Nepal. The peak has been a dream attraction for world' s mountaineers. Recently more and more mountaineers start off from the Everest Base Camp trying to conquer the world's highest peak, while travelers trek to the foot of the peak to enjoy its beauty through their own eyes. Around Mt. Everest, there are four peaks above 8,000 meters high, including Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu and Mt. Shishapangma and another 14 peaks above 8,000 meters, which form a soul-stirring picture of Mt. Qomolangma natural scenery area.
