OVERVIEW
The Ghandruk/Dhampus Trek is quite easy and moderate trekking of Annapurna region. The Trek goes through the beautiful terraces and the landscape from the Annapurna hills. The trekking trail passes by the several typical villages dominated by the Gurungs with the panoramic views of the Annapurna mountain ranges including Mt. Machhapuchhere .

Today is the day of your arrival in Kathmandu,Nepal. As soon as you come out of the Kathmandu airport, you will find our representative waiting for you in the waiting area right outside the arrival lounge. You will be warmly greeted and welcomed by the representative and led to the vehicle. Our vehicle will take you to the trip hotel, most of the time in Thamel, that is 20-30 minutes drive, depending upon traffic, from the airport.After you check into the hotel, you can take relaxing time on your own as there are no activities scheduled for today, except our trip briefing meeting. We will let you know about the briefing time upon your arrival.
After check in Hotel Visit David’s water fall, Boarding in Phewa Lake. Overnight in Hotel
After an early breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and drive you to Phedi where the trek begins towards Australian Camp. The trail ascends through forests of rhododendron, magnolia, oak, sandalwood, and pine until you reach the village called Dhampus. This is an authentic Gurung village, which gives you an opportunity to look at the magnificent views of the Annapurna ranges, as well as notable peaks like Lamjung Himal. From Dhampus, the trail continues to ascend along a stone-paved path through more forests and mossy trees (keep an eye out for orchids). Once you get to the small settlement of Camp. Trekking time: 3-4 hours Accommodation: Tea-house .
After breakfast, you’ll continue on a trail towards Landruk via the ridge to Deurali. You’ll pass through rhododendron forests teeming with exotic birds, as well as friendly Gurung villages like Chandrakot, Tolka, and Bheri Kharka. Keep an eye out for a small lake and panoramic mountain views, especially of the Annapurna South, as you get higher. The trail then descends through more scattered forests and villages with traditional houses until you reach Landruk where you’ll spend the rest of the day. Trekking time: 5 hours Overnight: Landruk (1,565 m) Accommodation: Tea-house .
Enjoy the last moments of your higher elevation views with breakfast in Landruk. Then, the trail begins with a steep descent towards the Modi Khola for about an hour, followed by a steep ascent of 2-3 hours through scattered Gurung villages, with great views of the Himalaya en route. Eventually, you’ll reach the village of Ghandruk, one of the largest Gurung settlements in western Nepal. Once here, you will have time to enjoy the landscapes and snow-capped peaks. Half day City tour in Kathmandu . you will proceed for a half day heritage tour in Kathmandu where you will visit: Swayambhunath Temple , Kathmandu Durbar Square , Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
After breakfast, you will check out from hotel and transfer to Kathmandu International Airport to catch your return journey with a lot of sweet memories of these remarkable tour of your life.
